Especial thinker, innovator and designer Ryel Williams has spent the past two years working on an original and meaningful design project. The young creative first dropped pieces from his solo project, Lonely Days back in August of 2018. Pieces included tees and long sleeves that read “I’m sorry I just wanted to be loved” and “Lonely days are needed.” The skeleton print designed tees were produced in a variety of styles and colors all hand sketched and created for comfortability. Ryel says, “Creating something everyone can feel comfortable wearing is something I always wanted to ignite. From the comparability to the difference of each other, lonely days are needed.”

In his work for Lonely Days, Ryel delineates ideas of solitude and what can be extracted from time spent alone- an interesting concept not many have probed. Lonely Days brings life to and redefines an often stigmatized state of isolation. When cultivating ideas for the design project Ryel mentioned that the process had a lot to do with wanting to create clothes with context. The project- bound to bear fruit, resurfaced this past June. Before the relaunch, WW was given an opportunity to sit down with Ryel to discuss the projects greater significance.

In the following video Ryel further discusses thoughts and abstractions used to build concepts for Lonely Days, & more.
